Team GB hopeful Charley Hull is eyeing a gold medal in golf at the Paris Olympics, having enjoyed success both on and off the course along with a fascinating dating past

The 28-year-old from Kettering will compete in Round 1 of the women’s individual event on Wednesday, and Round 2 on Thursday. Having picked up her first golf club aged just two, Hull’s extraordinary talent has led her on a long path towards fighting for an Olympic medal.

It marks the golfer’s second appearance at the Games, having finished tied for seventh place eight years ago in Rio, before earning her first LPGA Tour victory in the same year. She has a total of three LET and two LPGA titles to her name, being part of the winning Solheim Cup team on four occasions at the most prestigious team competition in women’s golf.

With six runner-up finishes since June 2023 – the most by any male or female player on the top tours – Hull will be desperate to bring home the main prize. And now Mirror Sport brings you all you need to know about Hull before cheering on the Paris hopeful, including her net worth and love life.

Hull’s successful on-course career has earned her around $8.3million (£6.5m) as of August 2024, according to the LPGA Tour. She has won $546,739 (£430,869) this year alone, with the majority of that coming from her tie for 16th place at the Women’s PGA Championship.

Her most lucrative year to date was 2023, where she picked up a whopping £1.9m thanks to runner-up performances in the U.S. Women’s Open and Women’s British Open. Off the course, she has paid sponsorship deals with Malbon, TaylorMade, ISPS Handa, Boxto and Arnold Clark, according to her Instagram posts. Reports at the end of the last year claimed her net worth to be in the region of $9m (£7m), though that figure has since grown with her recent tournament appearances.
