The Cincinnati Bengals squared off against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football in Week 11. The Bengals took the lead on a Joe Mixon touchdown catch, but the game was turned upside down when quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a wrist injury.

Contrary to popular belief, the injury was not caused by a hit from Jadeveon Clowney, but rather by a pre-existing condition that the Bengals did not disclose in their injury report.

The decision to conceal Burrow’s status enraged fans, who vented their displeasure on social media.

“Screw the Bengals for not disclosing this on the injury report,” a member of the public wrote. “Fine the sh*t outta them and then pay me for starting his sorry a** in fantasy”

Burrow’s absence for the remainder of the game was confirmed by head coach Zac Taylor, but the extent of his absence for future games is unknown.

In the third quarter, backup quarterback Jake Browning took over and led the Bengals to a field goal drive.

Burrow had previously dealt with a calf injury in training camp, and his performance in the season opener was subpar.

Despite this, he has steadily improved, contributing to the Bengals’ recent success. Burrow’s rookie season was cut short due to knee injuries, and in the offseason of 2021, he underwent an appendectomy but recovered in time for the season to begin.
