Despite a hot start to the game, the Edmonton Oilers were defeated yet again.
Connor McDavid scored from an impossible angle in one of his more impressive games of the season, and Evander Kane quickly followed with a goal. After Kane took a penalty eight seconds after scoring, the snowball began to form. The Panthers converted, bringing the score to 2-2.
The Oilers took the lead again in the second period. McDavid was stopped on a breakaway and then punished the Panthers with a penalty shot goal. But that was Edmonton’s final goal, as Florida scored three unanswered goals to win 5-3.
So, what went wrong last night for the Oilers? Liam Horrobin will break it all down in today’s Oilersnation Everyday. Liam will be joined by Nation Dan and Producer Aaron while Tyler Yaremchuk is on vacation. If you want to contribute, leave your questions, comments, and concerns in the Finning/CAT YouTube live chat.
They will also discuss fighting in the NHL with the addition of Nation Dan to the show. Dan runs hockey fights for those who don’t know, so if there’s anyone to ask about fighting in the NHL, it’s him.
In addition, the NHL announced yesterday that it will launch a new international tournament. With only four teams expected to compete, it won’t be like a real World Cup. They will also discuss the tournament on the show and would like to hear your thoughts.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin can be seen on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. The show is also available on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has aired live, it will be available on all of your podcast providers.
