As uncertainty surrounds whether David Moyes would continue at the London Stadium longer, a former West Ham player has encouraged someone at the team to “leak” information about the Scot’s future.

At the end of the current season, Moyes’ contract with the Hammers comes to an end. It is unknown whether the former Everton and Manchester United manager will stay on or find a replacement.

The 60-year-old has faced criticism in both of his stints at the team, although West Ham’s difficulty domestically was obscured by their victory in the Europa Conference League last season.

The Hammers’ first major title in forty-three years was won in Prague against Fiorentina, and they also qualified for this season’s Europa League.

Even if the Londoners are in the middle of the Premier League standings and have advanced to the European knockout stages, there is still a perception that Moyes is a little bit under pressure.

In light of this, former West Ham striker Franck McAvennie is keen for a club representative to provide an update on Moyes’ future while simultaneously criticizing the team’s performance this year.

“They need to determine whether Moyes is staying or leaving,” McAvennie stated to Football Insider.

It won’t be beneficial to any members of the club. It appears to be the sole thing that has been kept under wraps.

“Owners will occasionally come forward or insiders will occasionally leak information.

“Since everything has been kept under wraps, I believe someone ought to divulge information regarding the manager’s circumstances.

“I don’t know what will happen with David, but right now the football isn’t good enough.

“They’re achieving the desired results, but the performances are lacking—at least not for me.

“I don’t apologize.”

Moyes is worried about his squad for the Palace match.
When Crystal Palace visits the London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, Moyes’ team will be back in action.

Prior to the match, Moyes disclosed that a number of players are questionable due to illness.

Although Moyes did not identify them, Edson Alvarez, Mohammed Kudus, and Vladimir Coufal were all absent over the week and might require evaluation.
