Although performances have not been great this week, Wolves are four points better off as a result of their difficulties.

After a draw with Nottingham Forest and a victory over Burnley, Gary O’Neil’s team is still looking up the ladder.

With no midweek match to prepare for, the club will now be able to focus on getting additional points during the festive matches, starting with a trip to West Ham.

The stronghold of Molineux
It was the Molineux form that kept Wolves up when Julen Lopetegui arrived to save them from relegation last season.

Relegation is not a worry this year because to O’Neil’s work with the team, but the home form is still a topic of discussion.

With these past two victories, Wolves has now gone six games without a loss at Molineux, and those home victories have contributed to the team’s current league-leading position.

“After 16 games, the group is buying into everything,” O’Neil stated.
