1. Three objectives
West Ham United always wins when they score three goals in a game.
The Irons achieved a winning treble and finished in the top division for the fourth time this season.
The attacking combination of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, and Lucas Paquetá from West Ham has shown its strength against Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, and now Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Together, those three players have scored eight of the 12 goals the Irons have scored in those four victories, assisting their club in earning 12 Premier League points.
In the EFL Cup fourth round, West Ham defeated Arsenal 3-1 with goals from Kudus and Bowen. On the first day of the UEFA Europa League Group A, the Ghanaian scored twice against FK TSC.
2. Tremendous points
It took West Ham United until their 29th game on April 8th of last season to win their eighth Premier League game.
The Irons have already reached the same amount in 17 games and almost four months sooner than before, thanks to their 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday at London Stadium.
With three more points, West Ham moved up to 27 for the year, surpassing Brighton & Hove Albion to occupy eighth position in the standings.
To put things in perspective, the Hammers scored 28 points from 17 games to place seventh in 2021–2022, and only 26 points from 17 games to place sixth in 2020–21.
3. Three helpers
Lucas Paquetá made Premier League history on Sunday by becoming the first player from West Ham United to record three assists in a single match since January 2017.
In a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at home back then, Michail Antonio set up goals for Manuel Lanzini, Andy Carroll (for the bicycle kick), and Sofiane Feghouli.
This time, in a 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at London Stadium, Brazilian playmaker Paquetá supplied the passes for Mohammed Kudus to score twice and Jarrod Bowen once.
With 16 minutes left, the No. 10’s passing and vision worked flawlessly together to send Kudus down the inside right channel twice in the first half. Later, he played Bowen clean to seal the victory.
