Ronnie Lee, a former tight end and offensive guard in the NFL, passed away.
He was sixty-six.
The cause of death remains undisclosed.
Born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Lee attended Baylor University to play collegiate football. In the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected him as a tight end, 65th overall. With Miami, Lee played tight end for his first four seasons in the NFL, hauling in 25 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
In 1983, he signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons and became an offensive lineman. Lee played with the Falcons for a season in 1984–1989 before going back to Miami. In 1990, he joined the Seattle Seahawks, where he remained until the end of the 1992 campaign.
Regarding his passing, the Dolphins tweeted on Tuesday.
