The Norwich City duo will face a “big, big test” in the Championship against Coventry City, but Jon Rowe and Danny Batth will return to team training the following week.

The highly regarded attacker and seasoned centre back was left out of Canaries head coach David Wagner’s preparations for Saturday’s Sky Blues match at Carrow Road on Thursday.

Rowe suffered a hand injury during the team’s most recent league loss to Leeds United, and Batth had to leave the game early during the FA Cup third round replay victory against Bristol Rovers.

Despite a demanding game schedule, Wagner gave the remainder of his team a clean sheet of health at Colney after a rare full week of preparation.

“It was wise to give them some rest and work on the training pitches because, obviously, some players were used a lot, and some players a little bit less,” the player stated. “Starting on Thursday, our entire attention was directed towards Coventry, and figuring out our preferred methods of attack and defence against them.

“Everyone is healthy, fit, and eager to play on Saturday, with the exception of the two individuals who are unable to participate. “Next week, Danny will resume his training.” Everything is going as planned, and he is collaborating with the fitness department in a very effective manner. He’ll return to training early the following week. The second player who will miss this game due to a fractured hand is Johnny Rowe. However, it appears that he will resume training the following week.

Shane Duffy, who missed the Liverpool FA Cup trip due to a “minor” back injury, is available on Saturday. Wagner described it as such.

The City manager places Coventry in the same Championship group as their recent battles with other players vying for promotion.

“Yes, Leeds, Southampton, and Hull fall under the same category. I believe that the past four or five teams we played were all in this group, in particular,” he remarked. “Coventry is a really good offensive team with excellent individual players and a great concept of playing with a lot of freedom.

“They have only been defeated once in the last thirteen games, which demonstrates their current level of confidence and freedom. It’s an enormous test. To be fair, as we have in the past, we must truly give it our all, be incredibly focused and attentive in every area, but especially at home.

“We are really confident and believe that we are
