Cook will wear the number four on his jersey, a number that he wore in college at the University of Georgia.
Coincidentally, this is also his brother’s number, who plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
During his rookie campaign in 2022, Cook had 507 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, adding 21 receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown.
While Cook was a highly touted running back prospect, he wasn’t utilized as many Bills fans had initially hoped.
Last season, the Bills’ leading rusher was Devin Singletary, followed closely by Josh Allen.
Cook found himself third on this list, although, Singletary is now a member of the Houston Texans.
With Singletary leaving the team, this should make Cook the Bills’ lead back, pending an unforeseen signing, or an early-round draft pick.
Cook did average 5.7 yards per carry in 2022, which is a promising statistic for him and could indicate future success.
If the Bills give Cook the opportunity in 2023, he could prove that he is worthy of being their lead back, and will hopefully help open up Allen’s passing attack.
