The Miami Dolphins are in Germany to face the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champions. This epic clash is taking place on the international stage, and the outcome will have ramifications for the rest of the season.

The Struggle for AFC Supremacy
This is a battle for AFC supremacy, and the winner will get home field advantage in the playoffs. The Dolphins and Chiefs are both 6 and 2, tied for first place in the AFC East with the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars. The winner of Sunday’s game will have a significant advantage in terms of playoff seeding when the season begins in January.

Former Teammates Compete
Tyreek Hill is playing against his former team. The Dolphins’ Cheetah is off to a record-breaking start. Hill has 1,014 yards in the Dolphins’ first eight games, making him the first wide receiver in Super Bowl history to do so. Hill is in his second season with the Dolphins after appearing in six Pro Bowls with the Chiefs.

Tua versus Mahomes
This is a matchup between two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has established himself as the league’s best quarterback. In 2023, he’s already won two Super Bowls and thrown 15 touchdown passes.

Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins leads the NFL in passing yards and passer rating this season. With 18, he is tied for the most passing touchdowns.

Sacks on top of sacks
Those quarterbacks had better keep an eye on their backs because the two defenses aren’t bad either. With 28 sacks, Kansas City is tied for second in the league, and Miami is right behind them with 27 sacks. Bradley Chubb leads the Dolphins with five sacks, while Chris Jones leads the Chiefs with five and a half.

Run in Europe
The Dolphins are in Europe for the seventh time, but this is their first game in Germany. In their four games in London, Miami has two wins and four losses. The Dolphins’ last overseas victory came against the Raiders in September 2014. This will be Frankfurt’s first NFL game.

In Frankfurt, Tay Tay?
Will Taylor Swift make an appearance? The world is buzzing about the romance. Will Swift, however, travel to Germany to support her favorite player, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce? We don’t know, but the pop star is set to begin her Eras tour in Argentina on November 9th.
