The Detroit Red Wings imposed the second-season defeat to the Boston Bruins in the NHL Eastern Conference derby, 5:4, first in regulation time.

Alex Tuch scored twice as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6:4.
