Phoenix — Former Phoenix Suns forward Darius Bazley is joining a new squad, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to ESPN, free agent forward Darius Bazley intends to sign a three-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Utah Jazz. This season, he has averaged 21 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for Delaware in the G League.

“This season.”
The Jazz also signed Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a comparable contract, according to Woj.

On March 1, Bazley signed a contract with the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats, who initially re-acquired him for the duration of 2023-24 season. The Blue Coats are the G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, who signed Bazley to a 10-day contract on February 20.

In three games with the 76ers, he averaged only 3.3 minutes per night.

Bazley joined the Phoenix Suns as part of the Dario Saric deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season and will be available for free agency after the 2022-23 season, when he first signed with the Brooklyn Nets until being dismissed prior to the season’s start in October.

Bazley is only 23 years old.

So far this season, the Jazz are 28-36 and are out of the Western Conference playoff picture. The Suns are 37-27 and presently hold the sixth seed.
