As NFL free agency begins, the Cincinnati Bengals still need to analyze NFL Draft possibilities. While veterans can assist shape a squad, the best method to reload a team is through draft picks.

On Wednesday, numerous Bengals coaches attended the University of Georgia Pro Day. Jim Nagy reported that offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher, defensive line coach Marion Hobby, running backs coach Justin Hill, and cornerbacks coach Charles Burks were all in attendance.

Given the Bulldogs’ recent success, it’s no surprise that all 32 NFL teams were there as they took a closer look at some of the talents coming out of Athens.

Georgia’s top prospects, tight end Brock Bowers and offensive tackle Amarius Mims, did not participate. Bowers and Mims are both struggling with hamstring injuries that prevented them from working out for scouts.

It was an excellent opportunity for organizations to get a better look at cornerback Kamari Lassiter. In a crowded cornerback draft, Lassiter’s 40-yard dash was allegedly in the 4.50-4.51 area, but he should be a late first/early second-round pick. He might be in play at 18, depending on how the Bengals feel about DJ Turner.

Wide receiver Ladd McConkey has also been moving up draft charts recently. The six-footer demonstrated quickness in and out of his breaks and may be a player we see drafted.

Georgia has been producing NFL talent for the past decade or so, and it appears like they will be well represented in the NFL Draft again.

As Pro Days progress, we will continue to track the workouts that the Bengals have confirmed they attended.
