The Miami Heat needed to take care of business while without their great forward, Jimmy Butler, in order to win their second consecutive game against the Detroit Pistons.

Butler was listed as doubtful going into the clash. Butler was given the night off many hours before the afternoon game began. In his absence, the Heat needed someone to step up and increase offensive production. Duncan Robinson took on the burden and made NBA history in the process.

Robinson shot his 1,000th three-pointer of his career shortly after nailing one in the first quarter of Saturday’s game. With that, he became the NBA’s fastest to 1,000 threes, defeating Philadelphia 76ers forward Buddy Hield by seven games.

Robinson did not accept his award and take it easy on Sunday. Robinson took the second-most shots for the Heat during his 35-minute shift in Detroit. He was efficient, draining ten of his fifteen attempts from the field. Seven of the creations sprang from deep.

Robinson ended the game with 30 points, a team high. He also had five assists on the offensive end and four rebounds off the glass.Miami Heat insulted, motivated by Celtics | Ira Winderman
