The Dallas Stars will try to cap off their Canada road trip with a big win tonight against the extremely hot Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks recently dropped a massive payload on the San Jose Sharks, scoring 10 goals against them on Thursday night. Yes, when I saw that score, I thought the NHL iPhone App was broken. A clean sweep would be enormous for the Stars. Let’s look at the three most important aspects of tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Preview of the Dallas Stars vs. Vancouver Canucks: 3. Maintain the offensive flow.
I can tell you that the Stars will need that consistent flow of offense tonight against the Canucks. You can’t afford to score one goal and then coast to the end of the game and finish. I’m hoping Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski can replicate their chemistry from Thursday night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. If the Stars want to sweep their early-season Canada tour, every line must contribute offensively.

2. Turn off Boeser, Miller, and Pettersson in the Dallas Stars-Vancouver Canucks game.
The Stars face a huge task tonight in stopping a three-headed monster in Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller, and Elias Pettersson. The Stars must maintain their position while assisting Jake Oettinger in defending the net. The other night in Edmonton, they did a good job of shutting down Connor McDavid and Leon Draisitil. They must provide the same shut-down defense tonight if they are to defeat a very good Vancouver Canucks team.

1. Defense for the entire 60-minute period (Dallas Stars vs. Vancouver Canucks)
You cannot relax your guard for one second against this Canucks team. The Stars’ defense let them down in the final ten minutes against the Edmonton Oilers, allowing them to reclaim the lead. They must be on their game tonight and assist Jake Oettinger in defending the net. If the Stars can stay in their zone and protect the net tonight, they could complete a three-game sweep of the three Canadian teams they faced this week.
