AFC Bournemouth manager Steve Cuss names an unchanged starting lineup for today’s Women’s National League match at Vitality Stadium against Portishead Town.

The Cherries welcome Somerset after both teams won emphatically in third round qualifying of the Women’s FA Cup a fortnight ago.

Lucy Cooper and Maisy Smith both scored four goals as Cuss’ team defeated St Austell 13-2 to set up a first-round home tie with Bridgwater United.

After defeating United Services of Portsmouth 9-1, Portishead earned a tantalizing trip to Bristol Rovers.

Cooper will continue to lead the line alongside Gemma McGuinness, who has 11 goals this season.

Summer commitment Alisha Buckingham, who has four goals since joining from Southampton, also starts in attack.

Captain Gemma Hillier, Katie James, and Smith, one of the FA Cup’s two four-goal scorers, form a midfield trio.

Olivia Venditto, Helen Bleazard, Amber Treweek, and Abby Jones will defend in front of goalkeeper Daniela Kosiska, whose parents have flown in from Poland for the game.

The Cherries will be looking to keep their perfect league record intact, having scored 40 goals in their first eight games.

Portishead defeated Bishops Lydeard in the Somerset Senior Cup last month, in addition to defeating United Services of Portsmouth in the FA Cup.
