Philippe Clement has given Ross McCausland minutes in every league game he has coached this season.

Rangers officials are reportedly planning to offer youngster Ross McCausland a new Ibrox contract in order to deter interest from other clubs in his services.

McCausland was signed from Northern Irish side Linfield for £60,000 in 2019, and he’s made an impact this season off the bench for Philippe Clement and Steven Davis, despite making his debut for Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale.

However, with some of Rangers’ talents struggling at the right end of the pitch this season, the Antrim-born youngster has added his name to a list of attacking talents that the Belgian is still keeping an eye on, and the experience so far is set to do him favours in the long run – with Rangers keen to offer the talent a new contract as a result of his breakthrough.

According to the Sunday Mail, McCausland, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is set to meet with club executives in the coming days to work out a deal that will keep him at the club in the long term.

If the Gers can’t agree terms with the winger, they risk losing one of their finest young talents for as little as £300,000, according to the report, and clubs in the UK and Europe have been alerted to his contract situation, forcing Rangers to act accordingly.
