After returning to the football field after a bye week, Michigan won again to improve to 9-0. Here are some of the reactions.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Following a bye week a week ago, Michigan returned to the football field. The Wolverines improved to 9-0 on the season with a 41-13 victory over Purdue.

While Michigan won and looked fairly dominant, there were some miscues and the Wolverines appeared rusty at times. J.J. McCarthy had another solid outing, throwing for 335 yards, but he missed a few throws that he usually hits and would probably like back. The Maize and Blue’s ground game struggled against a poor Purdue defense.

The Michigan defense performed admirably, forcing a turnover and maintaining pressure on Hudson Card.

The win keeps the Wolverines unbeaten, and Michigan now turns its attention to Penn State next weekend.

Here’s what the media had to say about the Wolverines both before and after the game.

Blake Corum scores the first touchdown of the game.

Donovan Edwards of Michigan is still a top-tier receiving threat at the RB position… DB was late, but Edwards’ route and finish are always so smooth.

I can’t wait for the coaches’ meeting next week, when Michigan will be chastised for having an NFL quarterback while the rest of the league does not.
