Steve Hodge, a Nottingham Forest fan, praised Orel Mangala after his performance against Aston Villa on Sunday. The midfielder scored as the Reds cruised to a 2-0 victory.

Mangala has really stepped up this season at Forest. He’s been an important player for Steve Cooper, and he appears to be well established in the team right now.

Following his performance against Villa, the 25-year-old has received a lot of praise. On one podcast, Darren Fletcher praised Mangala and explained what Roberto Martinez told him about the Forest player.

Hodge gushed about Mangala live on the air.
The BBC Radio Nottingham co-commentator went completely insane over the weekend. When Emi Martinez spilt Mangala’s shot over the line, he was screaming, ‘It’s in!’ over and over.

Fortunately, the referee’s watch was operational on this occasion. The City Ground erupted when he signaled that Mangala had scored his first home goal for Forest.

“It’s Mangala’s first goal of the season!” Hodge said on BBC Radio Nottingham. What a smashing success!”

On Sunday, Forest won thanks to goals from the midfielder and Ola Aina. Earlier in Sunday’s live broadcast, Hodge praised Aina and Forest star Mangala for their efforts.

Mangala has finally taken to the skies at Forest.
Mangala will cost the club only £12.7 million when he joins from Stuttgart in the summer of 2022. He’s demonstrated how much of a steal that price is, and he now appears to be part of the furniture.

Forest fans are finally getting a glimpse of the real Mangala. Last season was a bit of a slog for the player because he had to deal with a couple of minor injuries.

He’s now well-established at the club. Forest have a plethora of midfielders in their squad, but those on the periphery will have to work extremely hard to unseat Mangala from the starting lineup any time soon.
