Tottenham Hotspur are set to compete with Premier League rivals for the signing of Brentford striker Ivan Toney next summer, according to Football Insider.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal are rumored to be interested in signing the 27-year-old at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Meanwhile, a reliable source told Football Insider that Toney is intent on returning to regular football when his gambling ban expires on January 16th.

There will almost certainly be interest in the Brentford man during the mid-season transfer window, but a deal is thought to be difficult to complete with the Bees set to demand more than £70 million for his services.

According to sources, relocating during the summer may be the best option for all parties.

Tottenham and their Premier League rivals are in need of a prolific striker, and Toney is seen as fitting the bill after his recent stellar scoring form.

However, the England international has yet to play in the 2023-24 season due to an eight-month ban that took effect in May.

Toney resumed training with his teammates in September and has participated in non-competitive games.

Last season, he had 21 goals and five assists in 35 games across all competitions, including a best-ever return of 20 goals in the Premier League.

Brentford’s contract with the ex-Newcastle player expires in June 2025.

Heung-min Son, who has eight Premier League goals this season, has taken over as Tottenham’s center-forward following the departure of Harry Kane in the summer.

Meanwhile, Manchester United summer signing Rasmus Hojlund has yet to score in the English Premier League, and the Red Devils are thought to be looking for strikers.

Despite big-money spending in recent transfer windows, Arsenal and Chelsea are also looking for more firepower.
