Hopefully, you’ve forgotten about the horrors that occurred at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. It never happened, in my opinion. What abominations? I’d never heard of them.
The Red Wings return to home ice tonight to face division rival Montreal Canadiens. The Habs are currently on a four-game losing streak, with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night. Fortunately, the odds are in Detroit’s favor. The Wings have been strong at home (4-2-1), while Montreal has only one win on the road this season (1-2-2).
The Wings have made two lineup changes tonight: Reimer will start in net, and Shayne Gostisbehere is a healthy scratch.
Jeff Petry will take the field against his former team.

Important Matchups
The battle of the backups will be between James Reimer and Cayden Primeau. Primeau, 24, hails from Farmington Hills and is looking for his first victory of the season. Reimer has been a reliable backup for the Wings thus far. What possibly could go wrong?
In New York, Detroit’s defense was godawful. Tonight’s matchup will be slightly more favorable for them. On the other hand, I believe I only know two of Montreal’s defensemen. What could possibly go wrong?
