After the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New England Patriots, ESPN names a player whose stock has risen and one whose stock has fallen.

After defeating the New England Patriots in Germany on Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts improved to.500. The young Colts have won two straight games after losing three in a row prior to last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Following Sunday’s game, ESPN’s Colts beat writer Stephen Holder looked at who’s stock was up and who was down.

Head coach Shane Steichen is pleased with his team’s progress as it enters the bye week.

“It’s huge,” Steichen said after the game. “It’s a big deal to get there.Get these guys back after a week off, get some rest, and come back and hit the ground running. We’re looking forward to having Tampa Bay back in our place in a couple of weeks.”

The Colts are only one game away from making the playoffs. They trail the resurgent Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills. They have two games left against the Tennessee Titans (3-6) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5).

Can the Colts make a postseason run?

After a shaky start to the season, the defense is improving. They have one of the best running back tandems in the NFL, if not the best. Shane Steichen has found ways to score regardless of who is behind center.

Yes, the Colts are capable of making a run. The hope is in its early stages, but it exists.
