CHARGERS 38, LIONS 41 INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) – Jared Goff threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns, and Riley Patterson kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired to lift Detroit over Los Angeles.
With 3:34 remaining, Justin Herbert threw his fourth touchdown pass of the day, a 38-yarder to Keenan Allen, tying the game at 38-all.
Goff responded by leading the Lions (7-2) on a nine-play, 53-yard drive that ended with Patterson’s field goal. On fourth-and-2 from the c26-yard line, Goff completed a 6-yard pass to rookie tight end Sam LaPorta.
Goff completed 23 of 33 passes in his return to SoFi Stadium after being traded by the Rams to the Lions in 2021.
David Montgomery rushed for 116 yards and a 75-yard touchdown in the second quarter. For the NFC North-leading Lions, Jahmyr Gibbs added 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Amon-Ra St. Brown had 156 yards on eight catches, including a 20-yard touchdown that put the Lions up 31-24 in the third quarter.
Herbert completed 27 of 40 passes for 323 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Allen finished with 11 receptions for 175 yards and two touchdowns, including a 29-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
RAVENS 31, BROWNS 33
Baltimore, Maryland (AP) — Dustin Hopkins’ 40-yard field goal as time expired capped a furious fourth-quarter Cleveland rally, and the Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens 33-31 on Sunday.
Cleveland (6-3) trailed 31-17 before Deshaun Watson delivered the kind of win the Browns had hoped for from their high-priced quarterback.
With 8:57 remaining, Watson threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Moore. Then, just 41 seconds later, one of Lamar Jackson’s passes caromed high into the air and was intercepted by Greg Newsome II, who returned the interception 34 yards for a touchdown.
The Ravens led 31-30 after Hopkins missed the extra point, but Cleveland recovered and drove 58 yards for the game-winning kick.
Baltimore (7-3) had its four-game winning streak snapped, and Cleveland’s victory significantly tightened the race in the AFC North.
Watson’s first pass of the game was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Kyle Hamilton, but he finished with 213 yards passing and 37 yards rushing.
The Ravens led 14-0 less than five minutes in, 24-9 early in the fourth quarter, and 31-17 early in the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t hold on. Lamar Jackson completed two passes for 223 yards and a touchdown.
BENGALS 27, TEXANS 30
CINCINNATI, Ohio (AP) — For the second week in a row, rookie C.J. Stroud led a last-second game-winning drive, finishing with 356 yards passing and leading Houston past Cincinnati.
With 1:33 left in the game and the score tied at 27, Stroud drove the Texans 55 yards in six plays to set up Matt Ammendola’s 38-yard field goal as time expired. Ammendola was signed on Tuesday after Ka’imi Fairbairn suffered a quadriceps injury a week before.
On the game-winning drive, Stroud connected with Dalton Schultz for 25 yards and Noah Brown for 22 yards. Brown had seven catches for 172 yards, and Devin Singletary rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on 30 attempts for the Texans (5-4).
Stroud scored once through the air and once through the ground.
Joe Burrow of Cincinnati threw for 357 yards and two touchdowns but was intercepted twice in the fourth quarter. Despite this, he rallied the Bengals (5-4) from a 20-7 third-quarter deficit and kept them in the game late.
Cam Taylor-Britt intercepted Stroud with 3:41 left in the fourth quarter, and Joe Mixon rushed for a 1-yard touchdown two plays later to cut Houston’s lead to 27-24.
Evan McPherson’s 31-yard field goal tied the game, but Burrow didn’t get another chance.
CARDINALS 25, FALCONS 23 GLENDALE, Ariz. In his return from a serious knee injury, Kyler Murray threw for 249 yards and ran for a touchdown, Matt Prater made a game-winning 23-yard field goal as time expired, and Arizona beat Atlanta to snap a six-game skid.
Murray made two key plays on the game-winning drive, reminding everyone why he was the No. 1 overall pick in 2019 and why the Cardinals signed him to a $230.5 million contract before the 2022 season.

SEAHAWKS 29, COMMANDERS 26 SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — Seattle held off Washington thanks to Jason Myers’ fifth field goal of the game, a 43-yarder as time expired.
In the final minutes, Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith and Commanders quarterback Sam Howell traded big throws and touchdown passes, but Smith had the final chance to win and delivered.
With 52 seconds remaining, Howell tied the game at 26-26 with a 35-yard touchdown pass to Dyami Brown. Smith took over and hit DK Metcalf with a 17-yard strike on third-and-4 and a 27-yard pass to the Washington 25. With 3 seconds remaining, Smith spiked the ball, capping off Myers’ perfect day for Seattle (6-3), which remained tied atop the NFC West with San Francisco.
Smith completed 31 of 47 passes for 369 yards and two touchdowns. With 3:47 left, he hit Tyler Lockett for a 5-yard touchdown.
Howell responded, giving Washington (4-6) a chance in the final seconds. He completed 29 of 44 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns. Howell also threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to running back Brian Robinson Jr. on the fourth play of the game and connected with Antonio Gibson for a 19-yard touchdown with 8 minutes left to tie the game at 19. Robinson hauled in six passes for 119 yards.
Lockett had eight catches for 92 yards, while Metcalf had seven for 98 yards.
JAGUARS 3, 49ERS 34
(AP) – JACKSONVILLE, Fla. San Francisco beat Jacksonville after Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes, including a 66-yarder to George Kittle.
Deebo Samuel returned from a three-game absence and scored for the 49ers (6-3), who ended Jacksonville’s five-game winning streak and re-established themselves as a Super Bowl contender after a bye week.
From the first drive, San Francisco dominated both lines of scrimmage and controlled the game. The Niners gained 147 yards on the ground against one of the league’s top run defenses and sacked Trevor Lawrence five times. Nick Bosa was a constant threat throughout the game, and newly acquired defensive end Chase Young contributed to one of the sacks.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars (6-3) embarrassed themselves at every turn. They fumbled, kicked a field goal, threw an interception, fumbled, and threw another interception in a five-possession stretch. Three of the team’s four turnovers were caused by Lawrence.
It was Jacksonville’s worst home loss since a 45-10 thrashing at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019.
Kittle had three receptions for 116 yards. Christian McCaffrey finished with 142 total yards, but his streak of 17 consecutive games with a touchdown ended.
Purdy completed 19 of 26 passes for 296 yards before handing the ball off to Sam Darnold in the fourth quarter with a 148.9 QB rating.
JETS 12, RAIDERS 16
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) — Josh Jacobs rushed for 116 yards, Aidan O’Connell scored on a pass from fellow rookie Michael Mayer, and Las Vegas beat New York to improve to 2-0 under interim coach Antonio Pierce.
The Raiders (5-5) thwarted the Jets’ two late comeback attempts. With 1:22 left in the game, Robert Spillane intercepted Zach Wilson’s pass at the Las Vegas 15, and after the Raiders punted, Wilson’s heave to the end zone fell incomplete.
Jacobs broke a 14-game streak of not gaining 100 yards, gaining 27 yards on 27 attempts as Pierce committed to a run-first offense, but his fumble late in the fourth quarter gave the Jets (4-5) a chance.
By passing for 153 yards and one interception, O’Connell became the Raiders’ second rookie quarterback to win two of his first three starts, joining Mike Rae in 1976.
When O’Connell scrambled and found Mayer in the end zone early in the fourth quarter, the score was 9-9, with each team having made three field goals. The rest was handled by Las Vegas’ defense.
Wilson passed for 263 yards and Garrett Wilson caught nine passes for 93 yards, but the Jets have gone 36 drives without scoring. For New York, Greg Zuerlein hit field goals of 47, 53, 30, and 45 yards.
SAINTS 27, VIKINGS 19
(AP) MINNEAPOLIS – In his first start, Joshua Dobbs kept Minnesota’s offense on track, throwing for a career-high 268 yards as the Vikings defeated New Orleans for the fifth time in a row.
T.J. Hockenson outgained the Saints in the first half alone, with 10 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings (6-4), who led 24-3 at the half but stalled from there.
Derek Carr of the New Orleans Saints left the game in the third quarter with a concussion and a shoulder injury. With the Saints trailing 27-3, Jameis Winston took over and threw touchdown passes to Chris Olave and A.T. Perry.
However, Winston was intercepted on downfield heaves by Mekhi Blackmon and Byron Murphy, ending a string of fourth-quarter possessions.
New Orleans’ (5-5) two-game winning streak came to an end.
After being pressed into action against Atlanta last week, Dobbs threw for a touchdown and ran for another in his second game for the Vikings. Hockenson finished with 11 catches for 134 yards despite a painful rib injury.
GIANTS 17, COWBOYS 49
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas routed New York for the second time this season, with Dak Prescott throwing for 404 yards and four touchdowns and running for another.
The Cowboys (6-3) won 40-0 in New Jersey, and the 72-point margin was their largest in an NFC East sweep, surpassing their 66-point margin against Philadelphia in 1969. Dallas’ winning streak at home now stands at 12 games.
The Giants (2-8) were outgained 368-27 in the first half, with Tommy DeVito becoming the team’s first undrafted rookie quarterback starter since a strike-replacement game in 1987.
DeVito, who took over for Daniel Jones after the franchise quarterback suffered a season-ending knee injury last week, was 14 of 27 for 86 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
The Cowboys had a combined first-half margin of 54-0 in the two games, falling 12 yards short of the franchise record of 640 yards.
CeeDee Lamb had a spectacular one-handed catch as part of 11 catches for 151 yards, becoming the first Dallas receiver to have at least 10 catches for at least 150 yards in three consecutive games. He also scored from 14 yards out.
Brandin Cooks had his first 100-yard game since being traded to Dallas in the offseason, finishing 13 yards shy of his career high with 173.
PATRIOTS 6, COLTS 10
FRANKFURT, Germany (Reuters) – Jonathan Taylor scored in the first quarter, Mac Jones threw a game-saving interception in the fourth quarter, and Indianapolis held on to defeat New England.
Jones was sacked five times in the first half and intercepted by Julian Blackmon at the 1-yard line after leading the Patriots to a go-ahead touchdown. This season, Jones has a league-low 10 interceptions.
On New England’s final possession, Bailey Zappe took over for Jones. The Patriots finished 2-8, their worst record since Bill Belichick took over as coach in 2000.
Gardner Minshew threw for 194 yards to lead the Colts (5-5) to their first international victory. Taylor rushed for 69 yards on 23 attempts, and Michael Pittman caught eight passes for 84 yards.
For the Patriots, Rhamondre Stevenson had 20 carries for 88 yards and Ezekiel Elliott had 13 carries for 54 yards.
PACKERS 23, STEELERS 19
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Pittsburgh defeated Green Bay thanks to 183 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris.
Chris Boswell kicked three field goals for the Steelers (6-3), who won their ninth straight game decided by eight points or less thanks to big plays by their defense and special teams.
With 3:20 remaining, Patrick Peterson blocked an extra point and later tipped a ball that led to Keanu Neal’s interception in the end zone.
Green Bay regained possession with 59 seconds remaining and drove deep into Pittsburgh territory, but Damontae Kazee intercepted Jordan Love’s last-ditch attempt to the end zone. With time running out, Kazee returned it 30 yards before stepping out of bounds.
The Packers (3-6) outgained the Steelers (399 yards to 324) by completing 21 of 40 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. This season, Pittsburgh has been outgained in every game.
Warren finished with 101 yards on 15 carries, while Harris had 82 yards on 16 carries.
TITANS 6, BUCCANEERS 20
TAMPA, Florida (AP) — Tampa Bay beat Tennessee after Baker Mayfield threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns, snapping a four-game losing streak.
Rachaad White scored on a 43-yard screen pass in the first quarter. Mike Evans redeemed himself after dropping a pass in the end zone with a 22-yard scoring catch for the Buccaneers (4-5), finishing with six receptions for 143 yards.
The Bucs’ defense fared much better against another first-year quarterback, Will Levis, who was sacked four times and intercepted once while failing to get his team into the end zone a week after allowing five touchdown passes and an NFL rookie record 470 yards through the air to Houston’s C.J. Stroud.
Mayfield completed 18 of 29 passes and shook off an interception in the first quarter to snap Tampa Bay’s longest losing streak since 2019.
Tennessee (3-6) suffered its fourth loss in five games. Since last season, the Titans have lost eight consecutive road games.
Levis led Tennessee’s first field goal drive, but finished 19 of 39 for 199 yards in his third pro start. An injury-plagued offensive line struggled to protect the rookie, and a running game that produced 42 yards on 16 carries provided little assistance.
