Birmingham City cult hero interested in’several’ clubs after only six months in charge
BirminghamLive brings you the most recent Birmingham City news as this Blues fan begins to gain attention.

Only six months into his managerial career, Hereford manager Paul Caddis is attracting the attention of clubs higher up the league pyramid.

Caddis has done well since taking over at Edgar Street in May, and his career is probably best remembered for playing for Scotland and scoring the legendary stoppage time goal that saved Birmingham City from relegation to League One.

He has led the National League North club through three qualifying rounds and into the FA Cup First Round, where they were defeated by League Two Gillingham.

And, following a difficult period in which the Bulls lost five of six games in August-September, they have now won five of their last nine games to sit tenth in the table, just two points out of the play-offs, which is good progress after finishing 16th last season. This comes on the heels of a summer budget cut and a complete squad overhaul.

Crowds have also increased, and Caddis, who has a 52% win ratio in all competitions, has caught the attention of several clubs, including National League side Woking, who are 14th in the fifth tier.

Caddis came through the ranks at Celtic before moving on to Swindon Town and then to Blues, first on loan and then permanently. He stayed for five years and played 159 games, scoring 16 goals, including the fabled equalizer at Bolton Wanderers.

After retiring, he began coaching and worked in Fleetwood Town’s academy before taking on his first managerial position in the off-season.
