The defending National League champions will look different next season.
On Friday, the Diamondbacks unveiled four new uniforms that will be worn during the 2024 season. An off-white home uniform, a gray road set, and black and “Sedona Red” alternate jerseys are among the new looks.
The home uniform, which was previously pure white with “D-Backs” across the front, has undergone the most changes. The new home uniform is off-white, similar to what Arizona wore in its inaugural season in 1998, and features the franchise’s capital A logo on the chest. Since 2000, the red alternate jersey has been the first to feature the full Diamondbacks name.
The new uniforms have a lot of positive aspects. All of the combinations are neat and well-balanced. They’re an update to the team’s current look, with a few minor changes that most casual fans won’t notice. Fans, however, had one consistent issue with the announcement: the D-Backs will not return to their original purple and teal uniforms.
