Birmingham City has given Leeds United a transfer boost as their stance becomes clear.
The latest Birmingham City news from BirminghamLive includes an update on Cody Drameh’s future.
According to reports, Birmingham City loanee Cody Drameh has no plans to renew his contract with parent club Leeds United.
The 21-year-old joined Blues on a season-long loan in the summer and has made an impression. Blues are said to have an option to make his loan permanent next summer.
According to The Athletic, Drameh’s contract at Leeds is set to expire at the end of the season, and the club would only be “entitled to compensation” if he agreed to an extension. However, it appears that this is an unlikely scenario. According to The Athletic, the right-back has “no intention” of signing a new contract at Elland Road.
“If you look at the players we had on loan last season, Dion [Sanderson] and Krystian [Bielik], at the end of their loans, they wanted to sign for the football club,” he previously stated. We have loan players and do not treat them differently. They are a part of the family, and I want them to stay as long as we can.
“If there is an opportunity to sign them after they have performed well, I want to make them feel special and want to sign for us.”
Drameh has started every game under Wayne Rooney so far.
