HAMSTRUNG Tee Higgins injury update as Cincinnati Bengals provide the latest on the top wide receiver’s hamstring issue ahead of NFL Week 12

Tee Higgins was ruled out of CINCINNATI’s injury crisis in week 12 of the season.

The wide receiver will miss his third straight game due to a hamstring injury and will not play on Sunday.

The Bengals face their division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, at a crossroads in their season.

They are 5-5 on the season and are missing quarterback Joe Burrow for Sunday’s AFC North matchup.

Higgins, 24, will miss his fourth game of the season after missing week five due to a rib injury.

This season, he has 27 catches for 328 yards and two touchdowns.

Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor was upbeat. Higgins is “on the mend” and “encouraged” by his recovery progress.

“We didn’t feel good about him going this week, so let’s not push him at practice,” Taylor added.

“He’s pushing himself in the rehab process, but there was no reason to integrate him into practice and risk a setback with him doing something away from the trainers.”

With Burrow out for the season, Cincinnati will start Jake Browning at quarterback.

Burrow will have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist after being visibly in pain during the Ravens’ loss last Thursday.

The Bengals are 5-5 in the AFC North and last in their division.

Baltimore leads the way with an 8-3 record, while Cleveland is 7-3.

Pittsburgh enters week 12 with a 6-4 record and will face Cincinnati on Sunday.
