Update on Ryan Hardie’s injury before Plymouth Argyle’s match at Coventry City
The Scottish striker’s hamstring strain has prevented him from playing for the Pilgrims in the last three Championship games.

Ryan Hardie of Plymouth Argyle is a striker, and Steven Schumacher is hoping he might be ready for Saturday’s home match against Stoke City.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to travel with the Pilgrims team to tomorrow night’s away game against Coventry City, but Schumacher says he is “unlikely to be involved.” Due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the first half of the team’s 2-1 loss at Ipswich Town on October 28, Hardie has missed the last three Championship games.

Mustapha Bundu, who eventually sustained a similar injury, took his place at Portman Road. During Argyle’s 2-0 victory over Sunderland at home over the weekend, the Sierra Leone international made his comeback to action by coming off the bench.

According to Schumacher, Ryan Hardie is sprinting. Though it is unlikely that he will be involved, he will most likely travel to Coventry with the squad. Hopefully, he will be available over the weekend.

With 17 games played this season, Argyle is in 19th place, one goal ahead of Coventry in 20th place on goal differential. Both teams have 19 points. On Saturday, the Sky Blues defeated Millwall 3-0 on the road thanks to goals from Ben Sheaf, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, and Matt Godden.

In the meantime, Mike Cooper, the Argyle goalkeeper, played his best in the victory over Sunderland since making his comeback from a torn ACL knee injury.

In his last six games, the 24-year-old has now kept three clean sheets and displayed some outstanding reactions against Sunderland. Michael made a couple excellent saves, and Schumacher was happy about it. “As usual, you depend on your goalie to produce huge saves when it matters most.

“I believe he could have kicked more effectively. Most likely, that is just a little rustiness. That is just the first game of his comeback; he has only played six. Right now, we really shouldn’t be expecting much more.”
