For many years, Jim Brown, a founding member of this Association and the chairman of the committee, has written a blog post about everything Sky Blue, usually every week. A portion of it has also been published regularly in a Coventry Telegraph column (see below).

The posts contain a wealth of knowledge regarding the club’s distant and recent history. Jim serves as the official club historian for Coventry City FC, as most Sky Blue supporters are aware. The 2023–24 Championship season’s next blog has just gone live online.

Jim’s most recent work, a slight divergence from his typical fare, concentrates on the Sky Blues fan base, or the incredible supporters of the team known as the Sky Blue Army, rather than placing CCFC players and games in their historical context. Jim meticulously documents the wildly unpredictable history of our team’s seasonal attendance at Highfield Road and the Ricoh/CBS Arena, spanning from 1961 to the horrifying periods when we were guests of Birmingham City and Northampton Town.

Jim observes the remarkable return of fans’ interest during Mark Robins’ tenure as Sky Blue’s “gaffer,” reminiscent of the Jimmy Hill era. Jim shows how the club is on track to smash a half-century old record for home game attendance this season, largely due to an increasing number of fans attending individual games in excess of 25,000 (building on a record 19,000 season tickets).

Jim’s most recent blog, which is highly recommended, has all the specifics of the ups and downs in the club’s active supporter base, along with the explanations for them! You can access it and all of the blog’s previous installments by clicking the following link:
