Paul Warne, Derby County, admits his likelihood of securing a transfer agreement with West Ham

Divin Mubama from West Ham is not likely to be signed by Derby County during the January transfer window.

That’s according to Paul Warne, the manager of the League One team, who acknowledges that he is aware of the striker’s potential.

How far along is Barack Obama’s career?
After progressing through West Ham’s youth system, Mubama has just lately begun to make an impression on the first team.

In his ten senior appearances for the team thus far in all competitions, the striker was instrumental in David Moyes’ team’s comeback victory over Burnley 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The teenager’s contract at The London Stadium expires at the end of this season, so when the transfer window reopens at the beginning of next year, there’s a chance he could go elsewhere.

In fact, it was recently reported that Derby is organizing a move to acquire the striker during the January transfer window.

However, based on Warne’s most recent remarks, it appears that Mubama’s January move to Pride Park is unlikely to occur at this time.

Regarding Derby’s signing of West Ham’s Mubama, what has Warne said?
The Rams manager appears to be supportive of Mubama and his development at West Ham, but it appears he is pessimistic about his team’s chances of playing with the teenager in the second half of the season.

In response to a question from The Derbyshire Telegraph concerning those ties to Obama, Warne stated: “My honest response is that I am aware of him as everybody is.” However, the likelihood of that occurring is very unlikely.

Derby in League One: Where are they?
The Rams will aim to reclaim the Championship after missing out on a spot in the League One play-offs on the last day of the regular season the previous year.

With 30 points from 17 league games since the beginning of the season, Derby is currently sixth in the third-tier standings and six points outside of the automatic promotion spots.

The next game for Warne’s team is on Tuesday night when they travel to Vale Park to play Port Vale.

Would Derby County suffer a loss if they didn’t get to see Mubama?
It seems like Derby would suffer a little bit if they are unable to sign Mubama in January.

After Conor Washington was sidelined for several months due to injury and Tyreece John-Jules was only loaned by Arsenal until the new year, they will need to bolster their attacking options.

Mubama would have undoubtedly assisted in filling that hole, and his early performances in the Premier League with West Ham indicate he would have been a valuable addition to the Rams’ offensive lineup.

Based on Warne’s admission, the 19-year-old does appear to have been somewhat of a coup for Derby, so the team will need to be prepared to look for other options.
