Garry Birtles discusses his observations of Nottingham Forest during Steve Cooper’s training sessions.

Garry Birtles believes that Nottingham Forest would be foolish to let go of Steve Cooper.

Citing Cooper’s performance in training, the renowned European Cup victor declared that he was impressed.

Birtles’ remarks follow rumors about the Forest head coach’s future starting to spread following a 3-2 loss to Brighton.

Birtles talks about Cooper’s future.
After speaking with Cooper, The Miracle Man seems to be right behind the head coach.

Since his promotion to the Premier League, the 43-year-old has been the subject of inquiries on previous occasions.

Birtles has stated why he believes Cooper is the best candidate for the position and that he sees no benefit in Forest firing him.

“I can’t see any plus points if they get rid of him,” he said on the Garibaldi Red podcast. I’ve watched them train, and I’ve watched how he sets them up, and it’s amazing to watch; it’s quick, sharp, and perfectly professional.

It’s really enjoyable to watch in every way. He continues to work for me and does it very, very well. We’re not being physically abused; rather, it’s the little errors and preventable goals that are the problem, not the manager’s fault.

Cooper must remain with Forest.
It is not even worth considering this. Although Julen Lopetegui has been connected to the Forest position, is he really a significant improvement over Cooper?

The Welshman deserves recognition for his work behind the scenes at Forest, where he has earned his stripes.

Despite their relatively slow progress, forests have improved since a year ago. Nevertheless, there are indications that Birtles may be correct about Cooper.

The current Reds player has made himself available for frequent conversations with the Miracle Men, and he has conducted the majority of them at the training facility.

With three games left in the upcoming week, Cooper has embraced the Forest philosophy, and the head coach deserves some time to turn this team around.
