It’s the most recognisable landmark in Wolverhampton, and BBC drone footage demonstrates how the Wolverhampton Wanderers stadium dominates the skyline of the city centre.

Molineux has changed dramatically and is about ten minutes’ walk from the city core.

Due to a fire hazard, two stands—Waterloo Road and North Bank—were closed in the 1980s.

But because of the financial support of its owners, Sir Jack Hayward and then Steve Morgan, Molineux is now a contemporary venue.

One of the most common responses when someone asks a Wolves fan what makes them particularly happy about being a supporter is “A Molineux night under the lights.”

In the 1950s, Wolves were the forerunners of floodlit football, having faced and defeated some of the best teams in Europe.

Additionally, Tuesday night’s Premier League matchup between Molineux and Burnley is expected to draw around 30,000 spectators.

Molineux has hosted Premier League football for six seasons running. Under head coach Gary O’Neil, Wolves are presently positioned in 13th place.
