Steve Sidwell and Peter Crouch forecast the Premier League matchup between Fulham and West Ham United.
Steve Sidwell and Peter Crouch have offered their score predictions for the Premier League match between Fulham and West Ham on Sunday, 10 November.
The Irons travel to Craven Cottage for a brief game on Thursday, December 7, coming off of an excellent 2-1 victory against another London foe, Tottenham.
Even though Fulham recently defeated Nottingham Forest 5-0, they still trail West Ham in the standings by six points after 15 games.
On the December 8 episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, former Fulham midfielder Sidwell made the following prediction about the game’s outcome: “I’m going to go for a close one.” I’ll go with a 1-1 tie.
Although Crouch didn’t agree with that forecast, he also doesn’t think West Ham will win at Craven Cottage.
Here, I’ve swung in favour of Fulham. They’re probably not doing as well as West Ham. However, I believe they will win 2-1 at home.
Unexpected
West Ham is among the top teams in the division with 10 points from the last 12 games available. They have won five and drew one of their last six games across all competitions.
However, for some reason, neither Sidwell nor Crouch believe the Irons will triumph over a comparatively humble Fulham team in West London.
Granted, the Cottagers defeated Forest five times over the week, but that is just one of their two victories in their last seven games.
However, as evidenced by the fact that Marco Silva’s team has won three of the last four games at home, they do indeed seem to perform better there.
Since this is by no means an easy game, David Moyes will undoubtedly aim for all three at Craven Cottage. A point must be deemed respectable.
Let’s hope United can sustain this positive vibe for a little while longer.
