As the Seagulls get ready to play Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi wants Brighton to finish at the top of the table in the Europa League to increase the team’s stature abroad.

In order to reduce the number of matches in the schedule and increase Brighton’s appeal to foreign fans, Roberto De Zerbi is determined to close out the Europa League group stage on a high note.

If the Sussex club wins against Marseille at the Amex Stadium on Thursday night, they will advance to the competition’s round of 16 on their first trip across Europe.

“To finish first in the history of our club is a prestigious accomplishment,” De Zerbi remarked. “We are serious individuals who aspire to win, and we want to give it our all at work.”

We’ve performed admirably in Europe, winning three of our four games in a highly competitive group. There is yet a step where we must attempt to prevail.

Although Marseille is an excellent squad, our goal is to place first in our group.

Roberto De Zerbi is eager for Brighton to make a big impression in the Europa League by winning.

Before the last gameday, the Seagulls had already qualified for the Europa League knockout stage.

We will play two less games at the beginning of the season as a result.

Brighton will definitely advance to the knockout round, but they will need to defeat Marseille in order to win Group B and advance straight to the competition’s round of 16.

If they do anything else, they will play a match in the round of 32 against one of the clubs that qualified from the Champions League, which includes Benfica and Galatasaray.

De Zerbi will find inspiration in the blatant indications of progress. They were behind 2-0 in Marseille after losing the first game at home to AEK Athens, but they rallied to draw even and win the next three games—two away to Ajax and one at home to Athens.

The Brighton manager declared, “We are stronger and playing better right now.” “We are playing better and changing our mindset, but Marseille is doing the same.”

Sixth in the French league, Rino Gattuso’s club leads their group going into the match, led by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored seven goals in his last four games.

Although De Zerbi admits Danny Welbeck won’t be ready for this game, he expects to have him ready to play against Arsenal on Sunday.
