According to reports, Aston Villa will turn down any bid for Douglas Luiz during the January transfer window.

After a surprising victory over Manchester City and an outstanding start to the season, all eyes are firmly on Unai Emery’s team. Luiz has been a standout player for the Claret and Blue team during the first 15 games, helping them climb to a lofty third place in the Premier League.

Luiz is reportedly Arsenal’s top target for 2024, but sports Insider says Villa currently value Luiz at £100 million. Nevertheless, Villa is expected to turn down any bid for their star player in January, per the sports website.

The outlet has been informed by sources that Villa is “adamant” about not selling Luiz in January. In January, Arsenal might instead focus on former Wolves player Ruben Neves.

Neves is reportedly being pursued by Newcastle United, who need a replacement for Sandro Tonali, who is now serving a lengthy football suspension for breaking betting laws.

Villa is keeping an eye on Salzburg sensation Elsewhere, and Emery is eager to bolster his midfield to facilitate a more seamless rotation process. Oscar Gloukh, a teenage prodigy, is thought to have captured his attention.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder Gloukh is a member of Red Bull Salzburg, one of the finest teams in Austrian football. The youthful player has already made 13 appearances for his country and scored three goals. Beginning his career in Israel’s premier division with Maccabi Tel Aviv, the midfielder became one of the team’s key players at the age of 17.
