Italian teams are vying for the £80,000-per-week Wolves player who is expected to go to Molineux.

Due to a lack of playing time, Fabio Silva is expected to depart Wolves next month. Two Italian teams have since entered the chase for the youthful attacker.

It was rumoured earlier this week that German club SC Freiburg, who had expressed interest in the player throughout the summer, was now again considering him.

It was then stated that several Bundesliga teams were expressing interest, including Wolfsburg, Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Italy was indicated as having interest, and now two clubs have been identified.

Two Italian clubs have joined the hunt for Fabio Silva, who is now sought.

In his story on Silva published yesterday, Gianluca Di Marzio provided the identities of two Italian teams attempting to sign Silva for the upcoming month.

Monza and Genoa are them. Silva is said to favour both of these teams, and Wolves are willing to consider loaning him out.

However, it’s unclear for what reason Silva will be leaving Wolves. If the proper offer came up, you would think the team would be open to selling the player.

He had two successful loan stints with Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven last season, totaling 16 goals scored.

It comes as no surprise that there are more rumours circulating currently regarding Silva’s possible departure next month. Silva’s chances of getting started at Molineux would be further harmed by the latest reports that Gary O’Neil is eager to recruit a new striker.

Silva is undoubtedly departing.
Given his previous engagement, it is difficult to imagine Silva staying at Wolves past January.

With Sasa Kalajdzic serving as the backup and Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan playing a major role in recent weeks, it appears that O’Neil simply doesn’t trust him.

On the most recent episode of E&S podcast, journalist Liam Keen made the suggestion that Wolves and O’Neil were essentially “protecting” him by sitting him out of recent games in anticipation of a possible trade. Additionally, he thinks Silva’s time at Molineux may be coming to an end.
