MITCHELL, Florida – Linebacker Melvin Ingram and cornerback Ethan Bonner have been added to the Miami Dolphins’ active roster for tomorrow’s contest.
After being promoted by Miami, Bonner made his NFL debut last week, recording one tackle and one pass defensed in the Dolphins’ victory over the New York Jets. On May 12, 2023, he signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agency, and he has been a member of the practice squad ever since. Bonner participated in 21 games with 15 starts over his four years as a letterman at Stanford. He started ten games as a senior in 2022, totaling 29 tackles (20 solo) and five passes defensed.
On December 14, 2023, Ingram signed a contract to return to the Dolphins as a practice squad member. In 145 career games with 106 starts, he has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times (2017–19). He has racked up 395 tackles (281 solo), 57.0 sacks, three interceptions, thirty passes defensed, fifteen forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries. With appearances in games with the L.A./San Diego Chargers (2012–20), Pittsburgh (2021), Kansas City (2021), and Miami (2022), Ingram has played in 11 NFL seasons.He saw action in all 17 games for the Dolphins in 2022, including three starts. He finished with 22 tackles (15 solo), 6.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one pass defensed, and two fumble recoveries. After attending South Carolina for his college career, Ingram was originally selected by the Chargers in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft (18th overall).
