Former Wildcat David Wohlabaugh Suffers Season-Ending Injury
David Wohlabaugh was one of more than a dozen former Wildcats that sought out greener pastures in the transfer portal this offseason. He found a nice landing spot, but fate has derailed his 2023 college football season.
The Ohio native was a week one starter for the Wildcats in 2022. He lost that role, but still appeared in eight games. When Kentucky upgraded its talent in the transfer portal, he took his talents to Syracuse and quickly emerged as the starting right tackle for the Orange.
In the second quarter of a week two matchup against Western Michigan, a Broncos defender fell on Wohlabaugh. He exited the game and was seen on crutches on the sideline during the second half. Head coach Dino Barbers confirmed Thursday night that Wohlabaugh suffered a season-ending injury.
