The Detroit Lions will have both coordinators return for the 2024 NFL season, as the Washington Commanders have made a decision regarding who will lead their organization.

Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who again was a popular candidate to be interviewed this hiring cycle, did not land any of the available positions.

According to multiple reports, Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn landed the position with the Commanders.

I would like to make more money than I did this year and I would assume the guys upstairs know and understand that,” Glasgow said, via the team’s website. “I feel like stuff like this kind of works. Hopefully, we’ll be able to work through it.”

Heading into 2024, the veteran hopes the front office sees his importance and rewards him with a contract extension worth more than his 2023 agreement. Last offseason, the 31-year-old signed a one-year agreement with the option to earn up to $4.5 million if he met certain criteria.

Glasgow was a vital contributor to a unit that helped the offense rank among the top in the National Football League. Detroit’s rushing assault and passing numbers were key reasons for the team’s repeated playoff victories, and they were one second-half collapse away from competing for the Lombardi Trophy. “I mean, that’s something to be proud of. “I believe this squad has accomplished a lot that hasn’t been done in what seems like forever,” Glasgow remarked. “And, as I previously stated, you wish we could have finished it all and won a Super Bowl and given the ultimate thing to be proud of, but for everything that transpired, it’s a fantastic feeling.” Glasgow participated in all twenty games.
