Ac teams are apparently interestedcording to reports Joe Worrall will be permitted to go on loan from Nottingham Forest today and other in signing him. Among the teams connected to the Whites in the final days of the transfer window is Leeds United. The Whites are looking for a center-back.

The team is about to sign Wales international Connor Roberts to a loan from Burnley, adding another full-back to their January roster. However, despite rumours that they made approaches for players like Ben Godfrey and Chris Mepham before a late interest in Harry Souttar of Leicester City, they haven’t been able to sign a center-back thus far.

Worrall’s availability might therefore be a plus for the Whites, who will be trying to advance and cross the finish line in the fight for promotion in the upcoming weeks. Alan Nixon of The Sun reports that Forest has lowered their asking price for a long-term contract and will consider loan offers for the defender.Naturally, Forest would prefer a sale, especially as Worrall, having gone through the club’s youth ranks, would be pure profit in terms of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability regulations. But the implication that they could approve a loan increases the likelihood of a departure.

Though Worrall is the club captain, he has had difficulty getting into the City Ground this season. Due to his struggles to earn a berth in the Forest backline, both Steve Cooper and Nuno Espirito Santo have only seen the 27-year-old make seven appearances in the Premier League this season.

Nevertheless, he has made two appearances in the FA Cup this season to keep himself busy, and if a transfer is confirmed before the 11 p.m. deadline, it could help him get settled quickly at a new team. Since making his debut for his home club in 2016, Worrall has appeared in 226 games. Additionally, he played a crucial role under Cooper as Forest advanced to the Premier League.
