Phoenix – Bengals receiver Tee Higgins says he hasn’t spoken with the front office about a contract extension, but if he had his way, he’d stay in Cincinnati.

“I adore Cincinnati,” Higgins told USA TODAY Sports during Super Bowl 57 Radio Row at the Phoenix Convention Center on Wednesday. “I hope to be there for the most of my career.”

Higgins is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is available for an extension this offseason. The Bengals say they want to keep Higgins, who had his second consecutive 1,000-yard season, but it will be a financial decision. According to NFL.com, the Bengals intend to offer quarterback Joe Burrow a long-term contract this offseason.

“I’m here with Cincinnati to make an impact, so at the end of the day, I feel like I belong in those conversations,” Higgins said, referring to the game’s greatest receivers. “We have selfless players on our team, and that is all you can ask for when you have more than two weapons on offense.”

If he doesn’t stay in Cincinnati, Higgins believes he can “make a difference on any team.” And he’s a coveted commodity: “(Jaguars running back) Travis Etienne had written on Instagram that he wants me there. “Several males have texted me.”

Justin Fields, the Bears quarterback, told USA TODAY Sports that finding a receiver of Higgins’ level would be “great.”

“We are actually members of the same agency. I see him work out in the offseason once per year,” Fields added. “Great player, great size, great receiver. He’s simply so smooth. Of course, the thing he can do on the outside with the jump ball and route running. He’s a fantastic player for sure.”

When speaking with USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday, Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase confessed it would be difficult to keep him and Higgins together.

“It would be good for Tee (Higgins) to stick with me for as long as possible,” Chase remarked. “Someone will have to do something later on to keep this team together.”

Chase called Higgins a “fantastic receiver, man.” He’s an exceptional individual.”

“Tee is ludicrous,” he remarked. “He can run routes. He can go up and get it with his acrobatic catches. This year, he created plays I had never seen before.
