Police have identified three men who were discovered dead behind a Kansas City home earlier this month.

Clayton McGeeney, 36; Ricky Johnson, 38; and David Harrington, 37, were found dead on the night of January 9 after one of the victims’ fiancĂ©e called police to look for her boyfriend.

When authorities arrived at the home, they discovered a deceased corpse on the back porch, according to police. Officers discovered two additional deceased victims in the backyard.

According to authorities, investigators are presently awaiting medical examiner reports to identify the three men’s causes of death. The inquiry is ongoing, and no arrests have occurred.

However, conjecture concerning the unique circumstances of the three men’s deaths has spread online. A family member told CBS station KCTV that McGeeney had planned to watch the Kansas City Chiefs game at a friend’s house on January 7. “I’m not searching for anyone’s head or anything, but my cousin was frozen to the ground for two days,” Clayton’s cousin, Alan McGeeney, told KCTV. “It’s gained a lot of attention from everyone asking questions but not much attention from anyone taking action; it just seems bizarre.”

An attorney for Jordan Willis, the owner of the residence where the men were discovered, stated that his client went to bed after his companions left and has no idea what happened to them.”Jordan had nothing to do with the deaths. In a statement to CBS News, attorney John Picerno stated that he had no knowledge of the timing or manner of their deaths, nor how or when they left his house. “He had no idea they remained in his backyard or that they required medical attention. Had he known, he would have phoned for assistance. He last saw them as they left his residence, and then he went to bed.

Willis was helpful with authorities, according to Picerno, and he did not respond to family members who attempted to call him because he was asleep.

“Prior to being notified by authorities, he received no phone calls or text messages from the deceased’s acquaintances or family members,” Picerno stated. “Two persons came to his residence, but he didn’t hear them because he slept with air buds and a noisy fan. One of those people, the wife of one of the deceased, attempted to contact him via Facebook Messenger; however, he did not get the message until the police contacted him.”
