“Sheyi came off the bench in City’s Carabao Cup triumph over Colchester United earlier this month, scoring a penalty to help us win. Ojo is the second Bluebird to go to De Kerels this summer, following Isaak Davies. We would like to wish Sheyi all the best.”

KVK claimed in their announcement: “With Sheyi Ojo, KVK can introduce its seventh addition to the summer mercato today.

“Ojo was educated at Liverpool and made his Premier League debut in 2016. The 26-year-old Englishman has also been loaned out to other Championship clubs, including Wolves, Wigan, Fulham, and Milwall. Sheyi Ojo earned Ligue 1 experience with Reims before moving on to Glasgow Rangers for the 2019/20 season. Last summer, Ojo made his last move to Cardiff.

According to Spanish media reports, Las Palmas agreed to sign Sory Kaba on Monday, casting further doubt on a reported move to Cardiff City’s Championship rivals Birmingham City.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that the Blues had moved to take Kaba away from the La Liga club and Watford, who were supposed to be in the running to capture the former Cardiff loanee.

Last season, the Guinea international scored eight goals in 17 appearances for the Bluebirds, helping Sabri Lamouchi’s side remain in the Championship.

A cost of £2 million was apparently agreed between the Blues and Danish club FC Midtjylland; now, in another twist, La Provincia reports Kaba has signed a three-year contract with the Spanish side.

“García Pimienta will have an unlimited array of offensive weapons,” they say. “With the double agreement that the board of directors of Las Palmas closed on Monday with the signing of Sory Kaba for the next three seasons and the transfer of Marvin with the compulsory purchase clause in case of the UD’s permanence, the yellow coach will have ten men in attack to occupy the three forward positions in the 4-3-3 system he uses.”

Mark Harris’ career at Oxford United has taken off, with the former Bluebirds striker scoring a match-winning brace against Derby County yesterday night.

Harris scored in both halves to give the U’s all three points at Pride Park against the highly regarded Rams.

The Welshman has already scored three goals in four matches for his new squad. Harris discussed the struggle he faced upon leaving Cardiff earlier this summer. The 24-year-old was out of contract, and a new agreement could not be reached.

“It was incredibly difficult; I’d been there since my first training session as a little lad,” he remarked.”

“I was five years old and it was all I knew, so it was a difficult decision, but I wanted something new and different, and as soon as I heard from Oxford and spoke with the gaffer, I knew this was the appropriate challenge for me.”
