Seventh Woods, a former UNC basketball player, was a highlight reel phenomenon when he was lured to Chapel Hill and committed to the program in late 2014. His amazing athleticism was on display in his mixtapes, which were making waves online.

Unfortunately for Woods, his time as a Tar Heel did not go as planned, as his athleticism did not convert to the court at Chapel Hill, owing to his competition for the starting point guard position with Joel Berry and Coby White. Woods was a backup on the 2017 National Championship squad, but he didn’t play much as a freshman.

After three seasons at Chapel Hill, he returned to his home state to play for the South Carolina Gamecocks, where he redshirted in 2019-2020. He spent one season with the Gamecocks before hitting the transfer portal again.

Morgan State was his third school, and he started eighteen games for the Bears, averaging 5.4 points per game. He completed his college career at the end of the 2022 basketball season. Woods has returned to the professional level after recovering from herniated disc surgery last year.

The former UNC basketball star is currently on his way to Ireland to play for the UCC Demons, who compete in the Super League and are based in Cork. Woods will be looking to regain the confidence he thought he never had at the university level, regardless of which program he was with, after becoming a high school phenomenon about a decade ago.
