The San Francisco 49ers have announced a roster of 11 players who will watch Thursday night’s preseason opener from the sidelines. Here’s who will not play against the Dallas Cowboys:
There are no major surprises on that list. Warner is the one name that may catch folks off surprise. The rookie linebacker has been suffering with a chest issue for the past week. Warner returned to practice on Tuesday, but the coaches plainly did not want to risk exacerbating his injury during game action.
It’ll be intriguing to see who starts at right guard. It should be Mike Person or Erik Magnuson. D.J. Reed is set to start at nickel instead of Williams.
