Former Ole Miss safety A.J. Moore saw his 2025 season with the Tennessee Titans come to an end on

Sunday afternoon. He just played five snaps on special teams in their Week 1 loss to the Giants and he won’t be getting any more work for the Titans the rest of the season. Tennessee announced his release on Sunday afternoon, per Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com.

He spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Houston Texans and signed with the Titans in 2022. Moore went on injured reserve after getting hurt against the Giants and re-signed with Tennessee this offseason, but he’s been dealing with injuries against and didn’t play in either of the Titans’ first two preseason games.

It’ll be interesting to see if he latches on with another squad across the league sometime in the near future.

The former Ole Miss standout had 69 tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery during his time in Houston. His best season with them came in 2020, when he racked up 35 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.
