As the commencement of the 2024 NFL Draft approaches, the bright young quarterbacks in this draft class have been scrutinized and researched constantly, with every quarterback-needy team in the league conducting due diligence before taking a risk on a prospective leader under center.

This year’s draft will be dominated by quarterbacks, with the Chicago Bears (No. 1), Washington Commanders (No. 2), and New England Patriots (No. 3) all slated to select potential franchise players.

Caleb Williams of the University of Southern California is now projected to be the first pick in the draft, with the Chicago Bears taking him first overall.

The Commanders appear to be undecided about who they will choose at No. 2, with options including Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and possibly J.J. McCarthy.

Although it is unclear who will go No. 2, McCarthy is making a lot of noise and saying all the right things, which has impressed teams over the last few weeks.

If the Commanders do not select McCarthy at number two, the Patriots may not pass him up at number three, as New England is also looking for a new franchise quarterback.

Other clubs that could take a risk on McCarthy include the Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants, who may have to trade up to acquire him.
