Las Vegas Raiders’ Jimmy Garoppolo Slapped With Brutally Harsh Reality on NFL Future Amid PED Scandal

Thanks to his recent PED scandal, it appears that Jimmy Garoppolo’s future with the Las Vegas Raiders is over. It seems that the Raiders already had plans of cutting the embattled quarterback and that the fact that he tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug served as the final straw.

There is still no guarantee that Las Vegas will act so decisively and so desperately on Jimmy G. However, it’s very much possible that the 32-year-old has already played his final game in a Raiders uniform.

Expert analyst Peter King has shared his two cents worth on all the drama surrounding Garoppolo. The league insider is now questioning whether or not any team out there will be willing to take on the polarizing QB if and when he parts ways with Las Vegas:“I think Jimmy Garoppolo’s two-game PED suspension throws a wrench into his quarterbacking future, obviously. And while no one’s going to feel sorry for a guy who, per overthecap.com, has made $148.8 million in a nice but over-valued career, what team will take a shot on him as a starter when he’s on the street this off-season—knowing he’s out for the first two games? Pittsburgh, maybe?” King wrote.

The bit about the Pittsburgh Steelers is interesting. I guess this is King’s subtle way of describing how desperate the QB situation in Pittsburgh is heading into the new season.

Kings also points out that the Steelers are reportedly looking to enter training camp with their two quarterbacks from last season, Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph, without looking to bring in a new QB1. King believes that this would be a “colossal misjudgment” on the part of the front office.

Garoppolo, with all his flaws, might just be the best option for Pittsburgh.
