Origin star AJ Brimson will call the Gold Coast home long-term, inking a contract extension to remain a Titan until 2030.
The 26-year-old will remain a one-club player for at least the next six years, having joined the Titans as a 15-year-old and progressing through the pathways to make his NRL debut in 2018.
“The Titans mean quite a bit to me. It’s been my home and my work for the last ten years,” Brimson said.
“I love playing for this club and I love the Gold Coast. I’m also excited for what the future holds. This new deal is good security for me and my family and I’m extremely excited for the next six years.”
Penrith have landed a blow in the recruitment market with Kiwi test star Isaiah Papali’i to join the defending premiers from the start of 2025.
The 2021 Dally M Second Rower of the Year was under contract at Wests Tigers until the end of 2025 but will make the move early to the Panthers from next season after he was given permission to negotiate an early release.
“We’re thrilled to have secured Isaiah’s services for the next three seasons,” Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron said. “Not only does Isaiah bring a wealth of experience and leadership capabilities to our club, but he’s also a world-class forward who has proven himself at the highest level.”
Papali’i joined Wests Tigers from Parramatta in 2021, and will bring up his 150th NRL game later this year having debuted for the Warriors in 2017.
The Dolphins have agreed to terms on a new two-year deal with versatile forward Ray Stone, which will keep him at the NRL newcomers until at least the end of 2026. Since joining the club from the Eels for their inaugural campaign last year, Stone has appeared in 26 matches for coach Wayne Bennett.
The Bulldogs have signed Tom Amone from the Leigh Leopards on a two-year deal commencing in 2025. The 27-year-old previously had stints with the Rabbitohs and Wests Tigers before heading to Leigh in 2022 and playing 63 games across two seasons, including the 2023 Challenge Cup final victory.
The Sea Eagles have signed Aaron Schoupp to a two-year deal after he was granted an immediate release by the Gold Coast Titans. The 22-year-old has played 52 NRL since making his debut for the Bulldogs against the Titans midway through the 2021 season.
Representative forward Jaydn Su’A will remain with the Dragons after inking a two-year extension that locks him down to the end of the 2026. The 26-year-old joined St George Illawarra in 2022 after stints at the Broncos and Rabbitohs.
Su’A’s new deal comes days after it was announced fellow Queensland Origin representative David Fifita will remain with the Titans beyond 2024 after agreeing to take up his player option with the club for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
