The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup teams will take on Wests in round 13 of their respective competitions this Saturday 1 June in a return to Redfern Oval.

The KOE NSW Cup match between the Rabbitohs and the Western Suburbs Magpies will kick off at 3pm with the Rabbitohs’ Jersey Flegg Cup team set to take on the Wests Tigers 1pm.

This is the first leg of the Sattler-Kelly Cup for season 2024, a trophy named after South Sydney legend, John Sattler, and Western Suburbs legend, Noel Kelly. The Sattler-Kelly Cup is played over the two regular season games between South Sydney and Western Suburbs in any given NSW Cup season. The Rabbitohs are the current holders of the Sattler-Kelly Cup having defeated Western Suburbs in both games in 2023 on their way to the NSW Cup premiership and State Championship title.

With the Rabbitohs’ NRL squad enjoying the bye in round 13, the Rabbitohs are encouraging all Members and fans to make their way to Redfern Oval on Saturday to cheer on the pathways teams. Entry is free.

Sattler-Kelly Cup

The Sattler-Kelly Cup started in 2019. It is named after two legends of the South Sydney and Western Suburbs clubs, John Sattler and Noel Kelly. The winner is determined by the aggregate scores of the two regular season games played each year between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Western Suburbs Magpies. The Rabbitohs have won the Cup three times and the Magpies have won the Cup once. There have been seven games played. The Rabbitohs have won five games and the Magpies have won two games.
